About the Role
JMA Engineering operates under two key divisions - Structural and Stainless Steel - and due to ongoing growth, now has an opportunity for an experienced Structural/Civil Engineer to join their team overseeing operations of the Stainless Steel Division. This is a full-time role based in Berri, SA, approximately 230kms north-east of Adelaide.
Reporting to the company Director and as a critical member of the senior leadership team, this role will see you providing day-to-day leadership to the Drawing Office, Sales and Workshop teams, including 3 Draftsmen, 2 sales people, a workshop Foreman, 3 Leading Hands, a Purchasing Officer and admin staff. This will include running weekly production meetings and overseeing production schedules; as well as performing training, performance management and ongoing recruitment activities as required to ensure the smooth running of your Division.
A large component of this role will be the design and costing of tanks, including the creation of material lists, chasing suppliers and overseeing manufacturing at a top-level from quotation to production to delivery.
About You
This is a fantastic opportunity for an Engineer looking to fast-track their career into a senior management position.
Project management and time management skills will be key to your success as you work across multiple projects, delivery timelines and different team demands. Any experience in the design and construction of liquid tanks will be highly regarded, however this is not mandatory and will be taught to the successful candidate. You will need to be comfortable using both AutoCAD and SolidWorks and be comfortable overseeing a highly automated workshop, including welding procedures.
You will have previous experience leading medium to large scale teams and be a confident communicator both at an executive and workshop level.
