About the Opportunity

Vital Health now has two (2) full-time opportunities for Occupational Therapists to join their team based in St George and Charleville in south-west Queensland. Fly-in, fly-out opportunities are also available out of Brisbane. 

Reporting to the VHSWQ Clinical Coordinator, these roles will see you delivering professional occupational therapy services that are client goal focused and contribute to valuable outcomes to the client and/or community group you are working with. These are generalist positions that will see you delivering services across a wide and varied client groups including adults and paediatrics, however, the St George position will have more of a focus on the provision of aged care and NDIS services.

Some of your duties will include (but will not be limited to):

  • Providing high-quality occupational therapy assessments, programs and strategies to improve client wellness and optimal health status;
  • Liaising with other disciplines to develop appropriate and well-coordinated treatment regimes for patients; and
  • Educating and counselling patients and carers regarding correct treatment protocols and ongoing management.

About You

To be considered for either of these positions you must have tertiary qualifications as an Occupational Therapist and hold registration with AHPRA and the Occupational Therapy Association of Australia (or be eligible for membership). A current Driver's License is preferable, however, is not mandatory. 

This is a fantastic opportunity for both recent graduates and experienced practitioners alike, with Vital Health working with the successful candidates to develop a client base and career development path that best suits their particular interests and skillsets. 

Whilst these positions are well-supported by a collaborative multi-disciplinary team, you will be the only OT at your chosen site, so you will need to be comfortable working fairly autonomously and problem-solving issues if and when they arise.
