About the Opportunities

DjHS now has multiple exciting opportunities for Associate Nurse Unit Managers and Theatre Nurses to join the Bacchus Marsh team on a full-time or part-time basis.

Associate Nurse Unit Manager

As an Associate Nurse Unit Manager, you will be responsible for providing and promoting a high standard of care for all patients whilst contributing to the efficiency of the Unit and supporting the Unit Manager.

Some of your key responsibilities will include (but will not be limited to):

  • Providing accurate and timely advice to management on key issues;
  • Ensuring efficient rostering, within safe standards of care and allowing for unpredictable circumstances;
  • Upgrading/maintaining an advanced level of clinical practice and professional development;
  • Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the supervision and education of staff; and,
  • Adhering to infection control procedures and practices standard precautions

To be considered for these positions, you will hold unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse and have post-graduate qualifications in perioperative nursing. 

Theatre Nurses

As a Theatre Nurse, you will be responsible for working collaboratively with the anaesthetist and the perioperative team, providing care immediately prior to and immediately after a procedure.

Some of your key duties will include (but will not be limited to):

  • Formulating plans of care in collaboration with individuals and groups;
  • Implementing planned nursing care to achieve identified outcomes within the scope of competency;
  • Upgrading/maintaining an advanced level of clinical practice and professional development; and
  • Adhering to infection control procedures and practising standard precautions.

To be considered for these positions you will be a Registered or Endorsed Nurse with previous experience in perioperative nursing, anaesthetic recovery or scrub/scout. 

You will require a demonstrated knowledge of operating theatre processes and procedures, as well as the ability to work under pressure and act quickly when required.

 

Please note: These are Vaccination Category A positions. To be considered you will need the legal right to live and work in Australia, undertake a valid Australian Police Check, and obtain a Working with Children's Check. You will also be required to work a variety of shifts (Monday-Friday) and participate in an on-call roster on an as required basis.
