About the Organisation

As a Customer Service Specialist for Qudos, you will be responsible for providing telephone assistance to members with their enquiries and to actively promote the products and services of Qudos Bank. 

Your daily duties will include, but not be limited to:

  • Providing quality and professional customer service ensuring sensitivity, confidentiality and integrity is maintained when dealing with all members;
  • Educating members about different products and services offered by Qudos Bank and generating quality leads for lending;
  • Applying effective/active listening and questioning skills when communicating with members to ensure understanding of member needs; and
  • Producing documents, reports and correspondence in the appropriate formats and according to the requirements and standards within Contact Centre.

Reporting to the Contact Centre Team Leader, you will be working in a small call centre environment with approximately 20 other Customer Service Specialists in the Qudos Head Office in Mascot. There are currently three, full-time positions available, working on a rotating, roster between Monday to Friday 7.00am to 7.00pm. You will also be expected to work an occasional Saturday (say once every 5-6 weeks).

This is NOT a cold calling role. 

About You

The great news is that no particular qualifications are required for these positions! You will undergo comprehensive and extensive, paid training on commencement with the organisation to learn all of the internal systems and procedures and will also be paired up with a 'buddy' to make your transition to the phones as seamless as possible.

Ideally you will have some previous experience working in a contact/call centre environment and/or in the banking/financial services industry, however this is not mandatory. 

There is a high level of compliance and process in these roles, so critical to your success will be the ability to work to strict deadlines and KPIs around performance. You will be comfortable working with your Team Leader to take constructive feedback on your calls to ensure quality and customer confidentiality is met at all times. 

Importantly, Qudos is looking for people with a 'customer first' mentality, that are confident and articulate communicators; calm under pressure; and able to deal appropriately with any member complaints or frustrations.
