About the Organisation
The Tiwi Islands Training and Employment Board (TITEB) was established by the Tiwi Land Council to coordinate all training and employment activities on the Tiwi Islands. TITEB is owned and managed by a Tiwi Board of Directors, with offices in Wurrumiyanga, Milikapiti & Pirlangimpi and Darwin.
The Board is nationally registered as a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) under the Australian Quality Training Framework and manages one of only two NT funded Group Training Organisations operating a new apprenticeship scheme.

About the Opportunity
TITEB now has an opportunity for a full-time Training Manager to join the team on the Tiwi Islands, Northern Territory.
Reporting directly to the CEO, you will primarily be responsible for managing, planning and delivering all training operations in conjunction with local stakeholders and host employers.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Managing and coordinating the staffing and delivery of all training on the Tiwi Islands;
- Assisting the CEO in the recruitment of Lecturing staff and planning of guest lecturers to deliver specialised units of competence where required;
- Ensuring that all training is delivered in accordance with and complies with the requirements of the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) and TITEB Client Service Standards;
- Coordinating all facets of student lifecycle, from initial enrolment to monitoring and reporting on their progress;
- Delivering units of competence in the Certificate II to Certificate IV in Business; and
- Contributing to the evaluation of outcomes achieved through the delivery of education and training.
About You
TITEB is looking for a patient, driven and versatile Vocational Education and Training professional with proven experience in delivering education and training programs to people that may have ESL, literacy or numeracy difficulties.
You must possess tertiary qualifications relevant to the field of education (such as Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, or equivalent) and substantial experience in managing and leading teams to achieve corporate goals. Proven experience in carrying out all administrative functions in regards to the development and deployment of training programs including general computer literacy and organisational skills is required.
Your high-level working knowledge of ASQA compliance requirements will be crucial to your success in the role, as will your knowledge of current policies and practices relevant to the delivery of vocational education and training. The ideal candidate will have a knowledge and appreciation of Indigenous societies and cultures and an understanding of the issues affecting Indigenous people in contemporary Australian society and the diversity of circumstances of Indigenous people.
Most importantly, TITEB is looking for a candidate that is resilient and adaptable to the challenges of living and working remotely, with team-oriented focus and the drive to grow the organisation. Tertiary qualifications in Business Studies and/or Language, Literacy and Numeracy will be highly regarded.
