About the Organisation

Brisbane North PHN supports clinicians and communities in Brisbane’s northern suburbs, Moreton Bay Regional Council and parts of Somerset Regional Council. It covers approximately 4,100 km2 of urban, regional and rural areas, with a population of over 900,000. 

The key objectives of Brisbane North PHN are:

  • Increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of medical services for patients, particularly those at risk of poor health outcomes; and 
  • Improving coordination of care to ensure patients receive the right care in the right place at the right time. 

About the Opportunity 

Brisbane North PHN now has a full-time, senior leadership opportunity for an Executive Manager - Corporate Services to join their team working across the Lutwyche and North Lakes offices.

Reporting to the CEO and with approximately 5-6 direct reports, this role will see you lead the forward planning and strategic direction of the Corporate Services team, which encompasses the Finance, Human Resources, Contracts and Information Services functions. These activities include capacity building, system improvement and succession planning with the corporate services teams.

Some of your key deliverables will include:

  • Facilitating the achievement of all objectives delivered by the Information Services, Finance and Human Resources areas, and ensuring their alignment with the organisation’s strategic vision, KPIs and budgets;
  • Taking a lead on key internal and external stakeholder engagement and partnership building, particularly in relation to corporate services;
  • Providing effective coaching, mentoring and professional development to direct reports including ongoing recruitment, inductions and performance management;
  • As part of the Executive team, developing and implementing the organisation’s strategic plan and internal operational planning processes, contributing towards the achievement of the plan and organisational vision; and
  • As Company Secretary, supporting the Board, Board Committees and CEO to maintain best practice corporate governance.

Experience Required

The successful candidate will hold tertiary qualifications in Business or Commerce and significant experience at a senior management level, including the demonstrated ability to perform high-level strategic thinking and planning. Candidates who hold a CA or CPA and/or company secretarial qualifications or experience, will be highly regarded. Experience working in a Not For Profit, will also be advantageous.

You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, which you will use to motivate and influence at a senior level, and you will be comfortable networking and engaging with a diverse range of stakeholders. 

A current driver's licence and use of a personal vehicle is required to complete the duties of this position, with work-related mileage reimbursed.
