About the Opportunity

Summerland Credit Union has an exciting opportunity for a motivated and passionate Business Development Manager ready to take on a new challenge.

Reporting to the Chief Customer Officer (CCO), the purpose of this role is to bring growth and development into the business and across Summerland's product range.

This is a key sales and service role in which you will provide in-depth product knowledge, sales and lending advice. 

Being a sales and service role your duties and responsibilities will come from identifying opportunities to provide solutions for customers. This will be achieved by developing genuine relationships with clients and being actively involved in the local community and attending networking functions.

You will be required to work across the Lismore, Casino and Kyogle offices ensuring strong coverage of these areas.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have previous experience in a similar role and have a strong understanding of financial services, more specifically personal and mortgage lending. Previous experience in commercial lending would be held in high regard.

It is extremely important that you are able to identify clients' needs and develop extensive knowledge about the products you are working with. This will allow you to explain with ease the services that best meet each individual customer's needs and create complete customer satisfaction.

You will be comfortable working autonomously due to the frequent travelling between locations and your ability to confidently self-generate leads and opportunities to grow the business will be imperative to your success.

Your strength in communicating effectively with people of all levels and backgrounds, including branch staff will assist you in building strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

It's important that the successful candidate understands that this is a needs-based sales and service role.
