Carrathool Shire Council now has an exciting opportunity for a Manager - Infrastructure Services to join their team in Hillston, NSW.
Reporting to the Director of Infrastructure Services, and directly overseeing a small team, you will primarily be responsible for supporting the Director of Infrastructure Services to provide leadership and direction to the Infrastructure Services, Roads and Bridges Directorate towards achieving Council's goals and objectives.
This Directorate currently oversees the third largest road network in NSW, managing over a cumulative $10million in road infrastructure and other civil engineering projects.

To be considered for this position you must have significant demonstrated experience in managing and controlling large-scale infrastructure projects - preferably roads and other civil construction.
You must possess proven project, financial and people management skills, with success in orchestrating the efficient delivery of multimillion-dollar projects while competently managing and controlling tight budgets.
While not mandatory, candidates with tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering, Project Management, Infrastructure or Civil Construction will be highly regarded.
The ideal candidate will be a professional, knowledgeable and astute leader with a track record of operational efficiency, analytical problem solving and innovation, underpinned with an attitude of getting things done.
As you will be communicating with local and statewide stakeholders in council and community, including the NSW Department of Roads and Maritime Services, your interpersonal communication and negotiation skills with people of all levels will be crucial to your success - you must be comfortable having a roadside chat with contractors one minute and delivering complex financial and operational reporting to NSW RMS the next.
Please note: To be considered for this position you must hold an unrestricted C Class Australian Driver's Licence, pass a Pre-Employment Screening and hold a General Induction for Construction Certificate (White Card) from any State body.
