About the Organisation

Anyinginyi Health Aboriginal Corporation (Anyinginyi) is a multi-disciplinary organisation which provides primary health care services to the Aboriginal people of Tennant Creek and the surrounding Barkly region.

Anyinginyi consists of five different sections covering a wide array of services such as clinical care and social and emotional well being, health promotions, sports and active lifestyle and administrative services. This diversity allows for a holistic approach to health, ensuring that clients' physical and emotional health and well-being is given the utmost priority.

Anyinginyi health service delivery area stretches north of Tennant Creek to Elliott, across to the east, almost to the QLD border and south to Ali Curung - almost 150,000 square km.

About the Opportunity 

Anyinginyi now has an exciting opportunity for a Continuous Quality Improvement Compliance Facilitator (CQI) Compliance Facilitator to join their team in Tennant Creek, NT. This is a full-time, 1-2 year contract position, with extension likely for the right person, subject to funding. 

Reporting to the Corporate Services Section Manager and supported by a CQI Assistant, the CQI Compliance Facilitator uses CQI tools and techniques to facilitate change and clinical quality improvements in relation to the 'Elements' of the NTAHF CQI approach. This role will see you working closely with ACCHS and DoH PHC providers, as well as a range of other internal and external stakeholders, to ensure continued ISO compliance and accreditation of the Corporation.

More specifically, some of your duties will include but not be limited to:

  • Working with PHC staff and management to outline CQI goals and map current QI systems and activities in Barkly HSDA;
  • Assessing CQI training needs of staff and teams and coordinating the delivery of training;
  • Assisting services to collect KPI and EHSDI commentary and assisting with the review of reports and identifying opportunities for improvement across both sectors; and
  • Visiting Anyinginyi and Department of Health sites to conduct audits, safety checks and compliance reporting as required.

About You

To be considered for this position you will have demonstrated experience in compliance, risk management or quality improvement capacity, gained within the health or community sectors. Any experience living or working in a remote area and/or working within an Aboriginal controlled primary health care service, will be highly regarded, but this is not mandatory.

Anyinginyi is looking for someone with strong project management skills who is experienced in creating and driving organisational change that creates quality process improvements. You will have solid communication skills which you will use to conduct 1-on-1 and group information sessions to educate staff on compliance and accreditation matters, and will have the ability to develop, implement and evaluate quality improvement projects. 

This role would be well-suited to an outgoing, personable individual who can act as the CQI and compliance lead for the organisation, whilst still building trusting and positive relationships with key stakeholders. You will be dynamic and flexible with excellent interpersonal skills, as your ability to influence a broad range of stakeholders will be essential to your success in this position. You must be adept at developing rapport and positive relationships with people.

Candidates with clinical and medical expertise will be well positioned to understand the operational challenges of the diverse stakeholders.

Please note: Prior to commencement you will need to undergo a National Police Clearance and obtain a current Ochre Card. A Driver's License and the ability to drive to communities as required is also essential for this role.
