About the Opportunity

Monster Recreational Products has an exciting opportunity for a Marine/Powersports Technician to join their team in Hay River, NT on a full-time basis.

In this role, you will identify customers' needs and exceed their expectations by maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing Snowmobiles, ATVs, Side by sides, Outboard Engines, Outdoor Power Products and Boats.

Responsibilities include: 

  • Providing prompt, dependable, high quality, vehicle service to internal and external customers
  • Removal of units from shipping crates 
  • Assembly of new units
  • Maintaining a clean and organized work environment 
  • Working closely with the service writers and parts and sales departments 
  • Communicating product questions or issues to supervisor and/or manufacturer
  • Providing accurate work orders
  • Other duties as assigned.

In order to qualify for this role, you will have a minimum of 3 - 5 years of previous powersports experience or technical training. An AEC/DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate is highly desirable.

You will also possess the following:

  • A commitment to accuracy and quality 
  • Good communication skills including communication with service writers, and communication with customers
  • Strong ability to multi-task and work independently. 
  • Ability to perform routine maintenance, small engine repair, vehicle assembly, accessory installation and diagnostics
  • Operate in extremely busy conditions during busy winter/summer months
  • A valid drivers licence

Our ideal candidate will also be task oriented, have the ability to work in a team, possess strong time management and organizational skills and be dependable. 

Please note that some travel to the United States will be required for training so the successful candidate will need to be willing and able to travel to the United States on occasion.
