About the Opportunity

Koorana Child and Family Services now have an opportunity for a Pre-School Director to join their team on a full-time basis.

You will be responsible for delivering a compliant and high-quality service under State Government regulations and guiding the development and implementation of an inclusive program to ensure the successful participation of all children enrolled in the Preschool.

More specifically, your responsibilities may include (but will not be limited to):

  • Working collaboratively with specialist staff to ensure intervention strategies are developed;
  • Preparing and maintaining the services Quality Improvement Plan and lead the service;
  • Participating in Koorana's intake and allocation processes;
  • Implementing individual learning programs in consultation with families;
  • Ensuring every child has a feeling of belonging by feeling secure, confident and included in the program; and
  • Maintaining effective communication with staff to support the successful delivery of programs.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have University qualifications in Early Childhood Education in addition to previous experience in a role that focused on the inclusion of children with additional needs.

It is essential that you have a sound understanding of early child development and proven experience in implementing evidence-based practice in early childhood education and care.

You will be a proactive and natural leader with great interpersonal skills and be passionate about play-based education.
