About the Organisation
Anyinginyi Health Aboriginal Corporation (Anyinginyi) is a multi-disciplinary organisation which provides primary health care services to the Aboriginal people of Tennant Creek and the surrounding Barkly region.
Anyinginyi consists of five different sections covering a wide array of services such as clinical care and social and emotional well being, health promotions, sports and active lifestyle and administrative services. This diversity allows for a holistic approach to health, ensuring that clients' physical and emotional health and well-being is given the utmost priority.
Anyinginyi health service delivery area stretches north of Tennant Creek to Elliott, across to the east, almost to the QLD border and south to Ali Curung - almost 150,000 square km.
About the Opportunity
Anyinginyi now has an exciting opportunity for a Finance Supervisor to join their team in Tennant Creek, NT. This is a full-time, 1-2 year contract position, with extension likely for the right person, subject to funding.
Reporting to the Corporate Services Section Manager, the Finance Supervisor is responsible for providing high level financial support and advice to the Section Managers and the General Manager and where directed the Board of Directors. You will pro-actively build the financial capacity of the organisation as well as the financial management skills of all Section Managers and employees who use the organisation's financial management programs.
More specifically, some of your duties will include but not be limited to:
- Working with the CFO of Anyinginyi Health to ensure and maintain robust and transparent financial management that is accountable to members and funding bodies;
- Overseeing the collection and analysis of financial information and provision of monthly, quarterly, annual reports to manager’s management whilst ensuring that financial information has been recorded accurately;
- In coordination with the Assets and Property Office assisting in all purchasing, cash receipts, recording of assets and other financial transactions; and
- Reviewing all financial policies and making recommendations to the Chief Financial Officer and/or Corporate Services Manager on any changes that may be required to prevent fraud and strengthen good accounting practices.

About You
To be considered for this position you will hold relevant tertiary qualifications in Accounting or similar and either hold, or be working towards your CPA qualifications.
You will have previous experience in a similar role, with demonstrated ability in the development, maintenance and implementation of budgets for a variety of different operational areas, as well as consolidated organisational wide budgets and cash flow forecasts.
In addition, any experience mentoring, supporting or supervising staff, including monitoring and addressing issues of staff performance, will be highly regarded.
Importantly, you will have respect for traditional Aboriginal culture and cultural diversity, and be willing and able to communicate effectively and sensitively with Aboriginal / culturally diverse people.
Please note: Prior to commencement you will need to undergo a National Police Clearance and obtain a current Ochre Card. A Driver's License and the ability to drive to communities as required is also essential for this role.
