About the Opportunity
Currently, Coastland Wood Industries Ltd. is seeking a dedicated Millwright and Maintenance Supervisor to join our Maintenance team in Nanaimo, BC.
Millwright
As a Millwright, you will be working rotating 12-hour shifts (4 on 4 off), you will play a key role maintaining equipment while focusing on continuous improvement in a fast-paced Veneer Mill to maximize production and quality.
To be successful, you must have a Journeyman Millwright Certification and knowledge of Pneumatic/Hydraulic Systems. Ideally, you are equipped with 5 - 10 years of related experience.
Creative problem solving, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills will be essential to your success, as is the ability and willingness to work rotating shifts and the ability to take initiative and work with minimal supervision.
Maintenance Supervisor
As a Maintenance Supervisor, you will be working a 40 hour work week with varying hours and some on-call duties. You will play a key role in managing the on-site maintenance team while focusing on continuous improvement in a fast-paced Veneer Mill to maximize production and quality.
To be successful, you must have a Journeyman Millwright Certification or a post-secondary Mechanical Engineering qualification and knowledge of Pneumatic/Hydraulic Systems. Ideally, you are equipped with 5 - 10 years of related experience and a minimum of 2 years of experience in a previous supervisory role.
Creative problem solving, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills will be essential to your success. Lastly, you are capable of taking initiative and working with minimal supervision.
