About the Opportunity

Ambrose Treacy College now has a rewarding opportunity for a Personal Assistant to join their team and provide support and assistance to the Dean of Learning on a full-time basis. 

This pivotal role will see you primarily responsible for performing a range of administrative duties including (but not limited to):

  • Maintaining student learning data both internally in SEQTA and TASS and externally with QCAA, SDSC & SLIM;
  • Carrying out diary, email and document management;
  • Coordinating and organising the Parent Teacher Interview evenings and other events as required;
  • Managing incoming calls and online or email enquiries;
  • Attending meetings and providing minutes;
  • Organising and assisting with the supervision of alternative exam schedules for students who miss exams;
  • Assisting with the preparation and organisation of the student planner; and
  • Coordinating quarterly academic awards and other events or presentations as required.

This is a term time position (40 weeks per year, not including 4 weeks annual leave on a pro-rata basis) however, the College is open to negotiating this with the right candidate

About You

The ideal candidate will have previous experience as a Personal Assistant, have strong attention to detail, and thrive in a fast-paced and high-quality environment. Previous experience working in a school would be highly regarded. The position demands a highly proficient capacity in the use of Microsoft Office suite and the ability to adapt quickly to new programs.

Your friendly and approachable demeanour will be crucial in this position, as will your excellent communication (both written and verbal) skills. You'll be well versed in managing competing priorities, have strong attention to detail, and thrive in a fast-paced and high-quality environment.

In addition, it is imperative you are always professional in your approach and maintain the highest ethical standards at all times, including the ability to manage confidential information.

In return for your hard work and dedication, you will enjoy an attractive base hourly rate commencing at $34.54 (commensurate with skills and experience) as per the School Officer Award - Level 6 under the Religious Institute Schools Agreement plus superannuation of 10.5%!
