About the Opportunity

BUSY At Work (BUSY), now has an exciting leadership opportunity for a Finance Manager to join their team at their Head Office in Southport, QLD. This is a full-time position with an expected commencement date in January 2019.

The Finance Manager is a critical role for the business regarding performance and insights. The role will report directly to the General Manager Corporate Services & Employment, with Group Executives as primary stakeholders. In addition to being the primary finance point of contact for the Operational Departments you will work with the executive leadership team to drive organisational strategy and performance.  Role accountabilities include: 

  • Budgeting and forecasting,
  • Manage, control and set key financial policy and process tempo within the team,
  • Provision of detailed decision support analysis and ad-hoc requests to operational Departments,
  • Monitor cash movement and revenue drivers,
  • Provide detailed advice on the operational efficiencies of the current finance function, continuing to work towards best practice,  and
  • Manage the EOM results analysis and engage in the quarter and year end planning and reporting cycles.

About You

BUSY hand-pick exceptionally talented people; chosen for their leadership skills and their ability to think strategically and to communicate effectively. This has formed the foundation of their success.

To be successful in this role you will be CA/CPA qualified with 5+ years of management experience. You will ideally have experience within Not-For-Profit sector and have worked within Government contracts.  Exceptional verbal and written communication is a must, as is strong excel and NAV/PowerBI (or equivalent) systems skills.

Importantly, BUSY is looking for an engaging and motivating leader who can be hands-on with the up-skill and training of their team, whilst still effectively delegating workload to ensure everything is completed in a timely manner. You will have strong attention to detail; excellent time management skills; and the initiative and motivation to positively progress tasks.
