About Your Role

Kookaburra Educational Resources are actively seeking Business Development Managers in Sydney, Brisbane and Townsville to deliver superior sales development and customer service to the education market. 

Reporting to the Sales Director, your primary focus will be developing customer relationships through cold calling, lead generation, demonstration of the full product range whilst always searching for and creating new opportunities.

It is important to note that while a portion of your focus will be on growing the company with new business, you will also be provided with an existing client base upon commencing employment.

More specifically, your day-to-day responsibilities will include (but will not be limited to):

  • Developing new relationships through cold calling, lead generation and demonstration of products;
  • Managing customer relationships, expectations and requirements;
  • Conducting and facilitating product demonstrations;
  • Attending training sessions on new and exciting product lines; and
  • Producing sales results to drive the designated territory forward.

Who We Are Looking For

You must be a highly motivated and energetic self-starter, driven by results with naturally strong interpersonal, negotiation and organisational skills.  

To be successful in this role, you will have previous sales experience coupled with proven results to ensure you are able to hit the ground running in this position. You will have the ability to present and demonstrate a wide range of products in a professional and confident manner for a varied customer base. 

Importantly, you will have strong computer literacy and the ability to learn new systems quickly and easily. Although not essential, experience in the education market will be held in high regard.

Your earning potential will largely be down to the effort you put in however, the average earning potential for your first year is around $80,000 - $120,000 and senior Kookaburra BDM’s making upward of $180,000 - $200,000 per annum.
