In this role, an applicant's religious belief is a genuine requirement of the role and is authorised under Section 37A of the Northern Territory Anti-Discrimination Act 2018.

About You

To be considered for any of these roles you must be a qualified Teacher with NT Teacher Registration (or ability to obtain) and the ability to prepare teaching programs with a biblical perspective that deliver significant educational outcomes for students.

You'll combine a passion for bettering young minds with a resilient and tenacious mindset. Due to the remoteness, you may be required to assist in teaching subjects outside your experience or discipline - a flexible and adaptable nature that allows you to adjust and solve problems on the fly will be critical to your success in a rewarding workplace where no two days are the same.

Candidates with the demonstrated drive and expertise to take on greater responsibilities will also have the opportunity to progress into leadership positions.

While not mandatory, applicants with experience in teaching multiple subjects and/or Science in particular will be highly regarded.

Please note: Before commencing, you will also need to obtain a current Criminal History Check and a current NT Working With Children (OCHRE) Card.

About the Benefits

In return for your hard work and dedication, you will be rewarded with a highly attractive salary package circa $72,087 - $102,433 plus super, commensurate with your skills, experience and qualifications!

You'll also appreciate up to $15,900 of salary sacrifice options to further increase your take-home pay!

Relocation and Accommodation Assistance will be available for the right candidates to help you settle into the local area, to be discussed at interview stage, making this an incredible opportunity for candidates across Australia!

All teachers at NT Christian Schools enjoy 15 days personal/carers/sick leave plus an extra 2 days of discretionary leave annually, with Long Service Leave available on a pro-rata basis after 5 years rather than 10!

Furthermore, you'll be supported in your new role through extremely strong formal and informal dedicated channels for both your work and personal life, from the Curriculum Coordinator and System Office Support Team through to the Wellbeing & Counselling programs available for staff.

In providing education from a uniquely Christian perspective, NT Christian Schools is committed to the development of all staff. They do this with strong relationships with a number of Christian professional learning providers. Staff can access Post-Graduate study to Master's level in Education and Leadership through the National Institute for Christian Education and have this paid in full by NT Christian Schools. Staff will also be provided with regular learning opportunities through Christian Education and national development training.
