About the Opportunity

St Carthage's Community Care is seeking an innovative Day Club Coordinator to join the charismatic team in Lismore working part-time, 52 hours per fortnight.

As a Day Club Coordinator, your primary responsibility will be to develop and implement a wide variety of activities and partner with external networks to keep the Day Club client base engaged throughout the year.

You will also be responsible for:

  • Implementing and monitoring Wellness and Group Activities while ensuring all activities are provided in a safe, stimulating environment;
  • Leading the Community Care team and providing support, supervision and coaching;
  • Maintaining accurate records including client attendance in readiness for monthly invoicing;
  • Recruiting and completing induction programs for Community Care Workers and Volunteers; and
  • Assisting the Senior Management Team in identifying future needs and growth opportunities.

About You

St Carthage's is seeking a bright and bubbly individual with a Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing, Home and Community), coupled with demonstrated experience in a similar position where you were responsible for leading a team.

Your understanding of Work Health and Safety, manual handling requirements and food handling procedures are important.  

Well-developed interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills will be critical, as will your passion for empowering others to achieve their goals.

As you will be travelling between the Head Office, Day Club Centre and places in the broader community, it is essential that you have a current Driver's License and a reliable motor vehicle that is comprehensively insured. A current First Aid Certificate is also required.

While not essential, an LR (light rigid) licence would be advantageous.
