About the Opportunity
Knauf Australia now has opportunities for full-time Warehouse Operators / Delivery Drivers to join their team in Cairns, QLD.
Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, these positions are responsible for coordinating the efficient and effective loading of local trucks, customer pickups, and deliveries. You will also ensure all activities are undertaken in a safe and professional manner, and will maintain Knauf's commitment to providing its customers with a high standard of customer service and quality products.
More specifically, your day-to-day duties will include (but will not be limited to):
- Picking and packing customer orders;
- Liaising with customers and/or Truck Drivers on weights and any special loading requirements;
- Ensuring all paperwork is completed correctly;
- Ensuring all products loaded are correctly packed limiting any damage in transit;
- Delivering and unloading customer orders by hand (heavy lifting may be required);
- Assisting in stocktakes as required; and
- Ensuring all work is performed in a manner which demonstrates a commitment to Knauf values.
About You
To be successful in this position you will have previous experience in a similar position, with a strong understanding and working knowledge of warehouse operations, including transportation and freight. Knauf is looking for candidates who are able to work within a small team environment as well as operating autonomously.
A C Class License, MR License and Forklift License (LF) are essential requirements of this role.
While not essential, candidates with a Certificate II in Transport and Warehousing, SAP experience and/or experience with building materials will be held in high regard.
Additionally, it is important you be a hard-working team player with a positive attitude and a willingness to promote health and safety practices among coworkers.
