About the Opportunity
Knauf Australia now has an opportunity for a full-time Procurement Officer to join their team in Matraville, Sydney.
Reporting to the National Procurement Manager, you will be primarily responsible for undertaking duties related to the sourcing of new goods and services, as well as the category management of existing goods and services, for the Australian business.
Some of your key duties will include (but will not be limited to):
- Supporting the day-to-day procurement activities in reporting, systems, process and data integrity;
- Managing a portfolio of indirect categories;
- Analysing data to identify areas of opportunity, and driving new sourcing opportunities;
- Preparing and evaluating tenders; and
- Negotiating favourable price and contract terms, with a focus on cost reduction.
About You
The ideal candidate will have experience in all aspects of the procurement cycle, including strategy, sourcing, and contract and supplier management. Strong commercial acumen, analytical skills, and intermediate to advanced Excel competency will be required.
Knauf Australia is looking for someone with a continuous improvement mentality and focus on exceptional service delivery. Strong stakeholder engagement skills will be crucial, ensuring your ability to build relationships with both internal and external parties. A confident and articulate communicator, you will possess negotiation skills and the ability to partake in effective contract discussions.
In addition, the ability to work both autonomously as well as part of a collaborative team will be key to your success. High attention to detail, particularly in relation to data analysis and presentation work, will also be imperative.
Although not essential, familiarity with SAP will be highly regarded.
