About the Opportunity

Ambrose Treacy College now has a rewarding opportunity for a Personal Assistant to join their team and provide support and assistance to the Deputy Principal on a full-time basis. 

This pivotal role will see you primarily responsible for performing a range of administrative duties while presenting a professional, personable and knowledgable representation to the staff, parents, students and the wider College community.

Your duties may also include (but will not be limited to):

  • Carrying out diary, email and document management;
  • Attending meetings and providing minutes;
  • Preparing, collecting and distributing relevant communications, both incoming and outgoing;
  • Coordinating and facilitating College events as required, including logistics, venues, staffing and catering;
  • Assisting the Deputy Principal in the employment process including inductions, staff leave and appraisals; and
  • Supporting the College Office staff to ensure the smooth running of the administrative and organisational procedures of the College.

Please note: This is a term time position working 40 weeks per year.

About You

The ideal candidate will have previous experience as a Personal Assistant, have strong attention to detail, and thrive under pressure. You must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage competing priorities and be unfazed by interruptions.

The position demands an individual who is highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite and has the ability to adapt quickly to new programs. Previous experience working with TASS and/or SEQTA would be an advantage but is not essential.

Your friendly and approachable demeanour will be crucial in this position, as will your excellent communication (both written and verbal) skills. It is imperative you are always professional in your approach and maintain the highest ethical standards at all times, including the ability to manage confidential information.
