About the Opportunity

Total Ground Effects has an excellent opportunity for a creative and adaptable Estimator - Landscape Construction to join our team in Surrey, BC.

Working alongside two other estimators and reporting into the Office Manager this role will see you preparing and coordinating complete estimates for Total Ground Effects and ensuring subsequent projects run smoothly.

More specifically the responsibilities for this role will include:

  • Reading and understanding construction drawings as well as tender documents.
  • Reading and understanding landscape and architectural drawings.
  • Preparing estimates, quantity take-offs, and quotes for contractors.
  • Consulting with clients and stakeholders to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve any potential issues.

In order to qualify for this role, you will have at least 1 year of estimating experience. Candidates with other experience in the construction industry, a hardworking attitude, and a willingness to learn may also be considered.  Currently, we are transitioning from ProEst Takeoff to Bluebeam so candidates with experience using either will have an advantage.

Our ideal candidate for this role will have excellent organizational skills and the drive to help Total Ground Effects grow to new heights. You will be adaptable, a creative problem solver, assertive, and possess excellent communications skills both written and oral.
