About the Opportunity
Knauf now has a full-time, newly created opportunity for a Customer Service Officer to join their team in Cairns, QLD.
Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, you will be primarily responsible for managing and operating the counter sales and administrative functions of the warehouse, as efficiently as possible.
You will be the primary point of contact for incoming customer enquiries, both face-to-face and over the phone, answering enquiries and providing quotes as quickly as possible to ensure customer loyalty and satisfaction.
More specifically, some of your key duties will include (but will not be limited to):
- Generating all quotations, ensuring they are numbered and filed correctly and easily accessible for future reference;
- Answering customer enquiries regarding Knauf products, including face-to-face, email and over the phone;
- Coordinating delivery schedules and logistics with the team in the warehouse;
- Maintaining the cleanliness and stock levels of the retail offering in the warehouse; and
- Ensure all paper work is completed and submitted correctly.
Who is Knauf looking for?
To be successful in this role, you must have demonstrated, previous experience in a similar position, either within a warehouse, logistics, manufacturing and/or trade retail environment. Any experience using SAP and/or the ownership of a Forklift License, will be highly regarded, but is not mandatory.
Maturity, common sense, and strong interpersonal skills will take you far in this role. You will be organised, have a customer service focus and the ability to communicate effectively with other departments within the warehouse to get things done.
Importantly, you will be comfortable working within an environment where business process and systems are constantly evolving, and have the ability to be flexible in your attitude and work practices that may change as a result of this.
