About the Opportunity
Summerland Credit Union now has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Chief Executive Officer to join their team in Lismore, NSW.
Working closely with the Board of Directors and overseeing 7 direct reports, this position is primarily responsible for implementing Summerland's long-term strategic vision and business strategy.
The CEO will act as a steward for the sustainability of the credit union in the best interests of the customers, while continuing to foster change, innovation and collaboration. The role also develops relationships with customers, community leaders, credit union partners, and regulatory bodies, in addition to implementing and overseeing the risk and compliance framework in line with requirements of regulators.

About You
The successful candidate will hold tertiary qualifications in Business, Finance or related discipline, alongside previous experience at an executive level. The ability to lead strategic planning and implement business strategy will be critical to your success.
Demonstrated experience in corporate transformation projects and change management programs will be essential. You will also need sound knowledge of the customer owned banking sector, financial statements, financial services law, risk, and compliance.
You will have a strong background in diverse stakeholder engagement, be member-centric, and have a strong focus on internal people management. Experience dealing with media, issues management, and spokesperson activities will be required, coupled with executive level presentation and negotiation skills.
An understanding of digital innovation and the ability to take advantage of opportunities that arise from this agile, flexible, and rapidly responsive environment will put you a step ahead of the competition.
In addition, Summerland is seeking someone who has a strong focus on community, social, and environmental sustainability - this will ensure your values align with that of the organisation.
Experience working in the banking industry with knowledge of the customer owned banking sector will be highly regarded.
