About the Opportunity

FranklinCovey is comprised of a small team of sales professionals working from home throughout the country. There is currently an opportunity for a Bookkeeper to join the organisation, working from home on a permanent part-time basis of 23 hours per week.

Reporting to the Finance Director, your primary responsibility will be to attend to the everyday financial needs of the business, managing the books and accounting functions and ensuring everything is accurately recorded.

Specifically, you will be taking on:

  • Bank reconciliations - creating payments, entering deposits, and reconciling bank accounts and credit cards;
  • Accounts receivable - entering and dispatching invoices, managing debt collection and monthly statements, and responding to client queries;
  • Accounts payable - coding and data entry of invoices, creating payment files and executing through the bank, managing vendor accounts and responding to vendor queries; and
  • Monthly preparation of BAS and payroll tax returns, journals, reconciling balance sheet accounts and preparation of P&L and Balance Sheet Reports.

This role would be best suited to an autonomous worker who is self-motivated and can manage their own workflow, and is confident taking on all general Bookkeeping duties without the need for further training. As you will be working without supervision, it is essential that you are accurate in your work and have a high level of attention to detail, as well as being skilled in troubleshooting. 

An advanced level of Microsoft skills will be required, as well as the ability to use Zoom for meeting purposes. A working knowledge of Navision (ERP solution) will be highly regarded but is not essential, as a procedure manual for Navision will be available to assist with training.
