About the Opportunity

Due to ongoing growth, the organisation now has a fantastic opportunity for a Mobile Lender to join their Melbourne team on a full-time basis. 

Reporting to the Area Manager, this role will see you developing relationships with existing and new customers within the Melbourne metropolitan area. You will deliver a superior customer experience by sharing your knowledge of lending products and translating these into business opportunities and future referrals.

The Mobile Lender is also responsible for ensuring annual strategic/business objectives and budgetary outcomes are met for their region, including identifying new business opportunities in the broader market for mortgage growth.

Some of your day-to-day activities will include (but not be limited to):

  • Developing and implementing contact programs to target members and generate business development activities;
  • Creating and developing an external referral base by the use of a regular contact program with a view to building relationships and increase lending volume;
  • Building customer relationships through the provision of non-lending related banking products; and
  • Identifying and promoting sponsorship opportunities for G&C Mutual Bank in the area of representation and actively participating and presenting during the lead up and during those sponsorship events.

About You

To be considered for this position you will have experience in a similar role / environment incorporating sales plan development and a practical knowledge of consumer lending and deposit products, insurance products and wealth management.

An unrestricted drivers’ licence is essential, and tertiary qualifications relevant to the role will be highly regarded i.e. Tier II accreditation, Dip. in Financial Services / Business.

Importantly, you will have solid interpersonal skills, with a 'member-first' mentality and confident presentation skills. Whilst you will be well supported by the wider Mobile Lending team, you will be spending a large portion of your time on the road, so the ability to time manage effectively, work autonomously and self-motivate will be a must to enable you to succeed in this role.
