About the Organisation

The Federation of Catholic Regional Colleges (CRC) is a collaboration of five secondary colleges, located in the North Western Suburbs of Melbourne, VIC. 

CRC offers education to over 3,900 students throughout the North West of Melbourne.

Three of the Colleges (CRC St Albans, CRC North Keilor, and CRC Caroline Springs) are Years 7 - 10 and CRC Sydenham is a year 11 and 12 College. CRC Melton is a Years 7 - 12 College.

About the Opportunity

The CRC now has a fantastic opportunity for a Compliance Manager to join their team. This is a full-time, Monday to Friday role that will see you splitting your time between 4 of the colleges initially, ie one day a week at each OR blocks of time at each depending on the requirements of the Colleges at any given time.

Working in collaboration with the Federation College Principal's, the Federation Business Manager, and College Leadership Groups, you will be responsible for providing the effective implementation and management of policy within the Colleges. You will also coordinate these policies in conjunction with Complispace to create uniformity throughout the Federation Colleges and to ensure the CRC is meeting its auditing requirements.

More specifically, your key duties will include (but will not be limited to):

  • Liaising with the leaders of each of the four Colleges to determine what level of compliance each College is at;
  • Meeting with key stakeholders of the Colleges on a regular basis to drive compliance and implement a team environment;
  • Providing direction in all compliance related matters to ensure each College is compliant;
  • Developing, reviewing, and updating compliance properties including risk management processes in response to School needs and changes;
  • Encouraging and promoting a culture of compliance across the Colleges;
  • Ensuring policy documentation is reviewed on a regular basis and made available to the leadership team; and
  • Facilitating staff knowledge of Compliance policy and practice through a program of information updates.

About You

To be considered for this position, you will have previous experience in a similar role, with demonstrated experience specifically in the management of compliance systems.

You will have experience conducting internal audits, with an in-depth knowledge of quality management and risk management, ideally with some specific experience in policy development.

Candidates with a tertiary qualification in compliance or similar and experience within the education sector, RTO, or not-for-profit organisation will be highly regarded. 

As this role will see you liaising with a range of stakeholders and leaders across 4 different sites it is essential that you are an effective and efficient communicator. You must be able to establish key College compliance information quickly and be confident that you can report what needs to be done to get each of the Colleges to an appropriate level and keep them accountable. This will require persistence, initiative, exceptional organisational and networking skills and a flexible approach. Self motivation and an eye for detail will also be key to your success.
