About the Opportunities
Due to ongoing growth, 360 Engineering is currently seeking experienced Control Systems Engineers (Automation) to join the team on a full-time basis in either their Brisbane or Mosman, Sydney offices.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for the delivery of automation, control system, and telemetry projects in accordance with agreed specifications, time frames and quality.
Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Configuring, testing, and commissioning RTU, PLC, HMI, Radios, and SCADA systems;
- Assisting in the development of bids, proposals and quotations;
- Completing risk assessments and ensuring compliance with WHS standards, including identifying or reporting hazards and accidents as required;
- Performing maintenance and diagnostics on all aspects of associated control systems and telemetry hardware & software;
- Ensuring that projects are completed according to customer requirements and quality expectations;
- Providing support and training to clients and mentorship to junior engineering staff as required.
Please note: Due to the nature of this role and 360's clients, some travel to regional areas will be required on occasion.
About You
To be considered for this position you will have control systems experience, with any experience gained in the Telemetry industry highly regarded. Ideally, you will hold a degree or trade qualification in a relevant field, although this is not essential. Experience in electrical design is also desirable.
As this is a customer-facing role, you will need to be a personable and down-to-earth individual who can communicate effectively with clients and other engineering, maintenance or operations personnel on a technical level. Whilst you do not need previous leadership experience, you will need to be able and willing to act as a mentor for junior engineering staff and be capable of performing some project management duties as required.
Any experience with ClearSCADA or Citect with be highly regarded, as will experience with leading PLC brands such as Rockwell, Siemens, Omron, or Schneider, and leading RTU brands including Schneider, Brodersen, or Kingfisher. You will also be confident using a range of computer software, including Microsoft Office, and have at least a basic level of virtual machine, virtualisation, and IP knowledge.
