About the Opportunity
Knauf Australia now has a new opportunity for a Management Accountant to join the Finance team in Matraville, Sydney.
This role is being offered on a full-time basis, Monday to Friday. Additional hours at peak / high volume times may be required i.e. EOFY and end of month.
Reporting to the Senior Management Accountant, this role that will see you coordinating and undertaking the preparation, analysis and distribution of financial results. You will also be involved in the preparation of cost centre reporting including analysis of variances to budgets and forecasts.
More specifically, your day-to-day responsibilities will include (but will not be limited to):
- Ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of management accounts that fulfil operational and head office requirements;
- Coordinating and completing month end processes, including preparing and finalising month end results for the local plant and associated cost centres;
- Analysing manufacturing, overhead costs and margin contribution by product group including product profitability;
- Ensuring stock takes and asset reviews are undertaken in accordance with company policy;
- Measuring the commercial and manufacturing performance of the business; and
- Preparing forecasts and budgets in conjunction with the local management team.

About You
To be considered for this position you will be a fully qualified Chartered Accountant (CPA/CA) with at least 3 - 5 years experience. Ideally, you will have experience working within the manufacturing industry.
You will have a strong understanding of financial accounting and compliance issues and have experience using SAP. While not essential, SQL or database creation and management experience would be highly regarded.
Importantly, Knauf is looking for a motivated team player who demonstrates a positive, can-do attitude. You'll be a confident communicator, with the ability to establish and maintain relationships with all key stakeholders.
