Who is Knauf looking for?
Knauf now has a rewarding opportunity for a Field Sales and Support Manager to join the team in Melbourne on a full-time basis.
Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager (VIC and TAS), your focus in the role will be building long term business relationships while providing technical service in the field to Knauf's Distributor network and their contracting customers.
More specifically, some of your key duties will include, but will not be limited to:
- Developing and managing contractors in the projects market segment;
- Resolving product quality issues and system installation issues in the field;
- Assisting distributors and their customers with product installation/application issues;
- Negotiating acceptable solutions concerning rectification claims and monitoring progress;
- Promoting specific products and systems in the market;
- Conducting/participating in Technical Training activities; and
- Assisting the regions sales team in the promotion/demonstration of specific products and systems.
Do you have what it takes?
To be successful in this role, you will hold trade qualifications, ideally in Plastering (or similar discipline) and have experience in commercial installation. While not essential, experience in plasterboard manufacturing would be highly regarded.
You must have exceptional communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills and display a high level of organisation, time management and strategic thinking.
There is an element of channel management required as part of this role so it is essential that you have the ability to build strong relationships with distributors, contractors, builders and other key stakeholders.
Knauf is looking for candidates who have the ability to successfully work autonomously while remaining motivated, reliable and productive.
Travel may be required in this role, mainly throughout Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania. As such, your willingness and flexibility will be essential.
