The Australian Centre for Grief and Bereavement

The Australian Centre for Grief and Bereavement (ACGB) is the largest provider of grief and bereavement education in Australia.  It's mission is to build the capacity of individuals, organisations and communities in order to enhance well-being following adverse life events.

An independent, not-for-profit organisation, the ACGB has been working in partnership with health services, schools, workplaces, media and community organisations, as well as people living with bereavement, to provide support for bereaved and grieving Australians for over 22 years. 

About the Opportunity

The ACGB now has a valued position available for an Online Learning Officer to join their team, based at Mulgrave in Melbourne's south-eastern suburbs, on a part-time basis (approximately 22.8 hours per week / 0.6 FTE). This role is initially being offered on an 18 month contract basis with potential for extension after this time.

Reporting to the Manager - Health Promotions and Education, this is an important role within the organisation, responsible for the delivery of a customer-led online learning strategy, that evolves the organisation's education proposition, including the sourcing and introduction of an LMS platform.

What does this look like day-to-day?:

  • Working with the Manager – Health Promotions and Education and internal and external stakeholders to research and source an appropriate LMS platform that will cater for the needs of the organisation;
  • Designing, testing and maintaining online learning education using a range of delivery methods;
  • Working in conjunction with internal stakeholders to develop an annual webinar program, including resourcing of appropriate presenters and coordination of online registration process for participants; and
  • Working with the Education Development Coordinator to update and maintain online RTO course resources, as well as providing technical support and expertise to support online users.

About You

To be considered for this position you hold demonstrated experience in a similar role, providing end-to-end delivery of learning programs. You will have experience in utilising and working with LMS's platforms (ideally Moodle), as well as in working with blended learning solutions.

Tertiary qualifications in E-Commerce or equivalent, a Certificate IV in Workplace Assessment and Training and/or previous experience working for a Member Association would be highly regarded (but are not mandatory), as would any experience gained in the design of learning programs. 

Importantly, you will be highly organised, with strong stakeholder and relationship management skills and a fresh and innovative approach to online design. You will have a great work ethic and the ability to manage multiple tasks with high-level attention to detail.
