About the Opportunity

The WoodTech Group now has a fantastic opportunity for a Fitter/Machinist to join their team as a Field Service Technician. This is a full-time role based at the Derrimut branch with regular travel throughout Melbourne and regional Victoria.

This is a varied position providing maintenance and installation services to a wide variety of wood working machinery including CNC drilling and nesting machines as well as edge banding, sanding and printing. This will include (but not be limited to), fault finding and diagnostic testing to fix breakdowns, as well as conducting on-site client training on new machinery installs.

Should you have a particular interest in specialising in one of these areas or machine types, the WoodTech Group is open to discussing options for the right person.

About You

To be considered for this position you will hold relevant trade qualifications as a Fitter and Turner and/or Machinist, with at least some demonstrated experience working in a precision machining/field maintenance environment. Any experience you may have gained working specifically with wood working machines will be highly regarded, however is not mandatory providing you have the relevant qualifications, a willingness to learn and a strong mechanical aptitude.

Importantly, the WoodTech Group is looking for someone with a strong work ethic and a level of pride in the work they are delivering for clients. You will have good communication skills, a customer service focus, common sense and the ability to ensure safety measures are followed at all times.

Please note: The willingness and ability to undertake regular travel throughout Melbourne and regional Victoria is a mandatory requirement for this position. You will also need a current, open Driver's License.
