About the Opportunity

Moree Plains Shire Council now has an exciting opportunity for a proactive Integrated Planning Reporting (IPR) and Executive Office Coordinator to join the Council on a full-time basis in Moree, NSW.

Reporting to the IPR Manager, this role will see you assisting in the development and delivery of strategic and corporate plans and undertaking reporting in line with Council's IPR responsibilities. You will also be required to report to and assist the General Manager with high-level support as required.

Key duties may also include (but will not be limited to):

  • Championing and assist staff members in the use of software systems that support effective planning, reporting and continuous improvement;
  • Engaging stakeholders in the delivery of IPR responsibilities, including the developing and maintaining strong working relationships;
  • Assisting the General Manager in implementing actions and tasks as required;
  • Liaising with Council's solicitors and media specialists regarding significant legal matters;
  • Coordinating Council's input into legislative reform processes including Council responses to government white papers; and
  • Facilitating development, implementation, monitoring and reporting of Council's IPR Framework in accordance with the legislative framework.

About You

To be considered for this position you will hold Tertiary level qualifications in Communications, Business, Commerce, Public Administration or an equivalent combination of extensive industry experience and education/training relevant to the inherent requirements of the role.

While not essential, local government experience would be a distinct advantage. However it is essential that you at least have knowledge and understanding of strategic planning, performance management, business plans and of the IPR Framework and its reporting requirement under the Local Government Act.

The successful applicant will have exceptional attention to detail, the ability to analyse information and have adept problem-solving skills. 

You will be a confident and effective communicator, able to develop strong working relationships while demonstrating proficient negotiation skills.

Please Note: A current 'C' Class Driver's License is a requirement of this position.

In return for your hard work and dedication, you will be rewarded with an attractive remuneration circa $64,417.60 - $69,253.60 (negotiable with skills and experience) plus super.
