About the Opportunities
3A Composites PNG Ltd now has opportunities available for a Forestry Manager and Mobile Workshop Manager to join their teams based in East New Britain, Kokopo, PNG. These are full-time, three-year contract roles with extensions available for the right candidates.
These roles play an integral part in the continued success of the organisation through leading, supporting and mentoring their respective reporting teams.
About the Forestry Manager
As the Forestry Manager, you will be responsible for planning and supervising the plantation activities in preparation for the harvest, accomplishing objectives and goals outlined in the harvest plan and reaching the quality standards in line with policies and procedures.
More specifically, some of your duties may include (but will not be limited to):
- Encouraging and cultivating a safe working culture and ensuring continuous improvements across environmental impacts;
- Ensuring compliance across the FSC standards requirements;
- Participating and collaborating on the development of internal and external audits and planned inspections; and
- Promoting a positive organisational climate to solidify the commitment to the organisation.
To be successful in this role you must hold a Bachelors Degree in Agriculture (or similar related discipline) with significant knowledge and experience in forestry.
3A Composites PNG Ltd is seeking an experienced and hands-on manager, who has exceptional communication skills and is able to develop and build rapport with internal and external stakeholders.
Your ability to effectively manage a large team of direct reports and cultivate a supportive and encouraging environment amongst team members will be vital to your success in this role. You will need to be able to lead with confidence and integrity while remaining adaptable.
About the Mobile Workshop Manager
As the Mobile Workshop Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily mobile maintenance tasks, coordinating the Workshop team and all maintenance repair functions of the mobile plants.
More specifically, some of your duties may include (but will not be limited to):
- Conducting regular quality and safety inspections;
- Leading and coordinating the maintenance team activities;
- Ensuring all repairs and maintenance are completed to company standards; and
- Carrying out performance reviews for all team members.
To be successful in this role you must have significant knowledge and understanding of mechanical maintenance with demonstrated experience successfully leading and managing a team. Trade qualifications would be highly regarded.
You must be a highly organised, hands-on manager with the ability to effectively support and mentor your team. Your ability to cultivate strong working relationships with your team members will be integral to your success in this role.

The Forestry Manager annual salary will be circa $87,000 - $115,000 AUD ($60,000 - $80,000 USD) commensurate with skills and experience.
The Mobile Workshop Manager annual salary will be circa $65,000 - 80,000 AUD ($45,000 - $55,000 USD) commensurate with skills and experience.
