Beaumont Care is an Australian family owned and operated provider of aged care services on the Peninsula at Kippa Ring, Redcliffe, Rothwell, as well as a supported accommodation facility in rural Wamuran, for those who need assistance in daily living.

Roslyn Lodge is Beaumont Care’s newest home to provide secure dementia and special needs, high and low care on the mountain, to those who wish to live in a tranquil and loving environment at Mt. Tamborine. It is a 38 bed facility with a combination of single-ensuited rooms, double rooms and a recently commissioned memory support unit, which can support residents with memory loss in a safe and secure environment.

About the Opportunity

Beaumont Care now has a fantastic, newly created opportunity for a Service Manager to join their team, providing operational management for the Roslyn Lodge facility at Mount Tamborine. This is Monday to Friday position with occasional weekend work if required. The Service Manager also participates in a fortnightly on-call roster with the Clinical Nurse.

Reporting to the Manager Care Delivery and well-supported by the corporate services team based at Redcliffe, this position is responsible for overseeing the provision of holistic, contemporary care for residents at Roslyn Lodge, as well as the operational management and leadership for staff at the facility.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Conducting comprehensive resident assessments and ensure a safe and pleasant living environment for residents;
  • Taking financial responsibility for the Roslyn Lodge facility including developing the service budget, ensuring expenses and staff salaries are in line with budgets and ensuring monthly government payments for residents' care correlates with funding claims;
  • Performing a range of leadership practices, such as proactive problem solving; risk mitigation; promoting teamwork; encouraging consultation, collaboration and communication; and ensuring a positive and harmonious working environment; and
  • Implementing and evaluating processes to ensure quality of care and quality of life for residents via effective change management practices and procedures if required.

About You

To be considered for this position you will hold demonstrated leadership experience gained in an aged care clinical setting, ideally with training on the new quality aged care standards. 

Current AHPRA registration as a general nurse and/or post-graduate qualifications in business or similar, will be highly regarded, but are not mandatory providing you have the above experience.

Critical to your success in this role will be the ability to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders including residents, staff, families and external service providers. You will have good commercial acumen with the financial knowledge to successfully operate the facility and will be comfortable identifying problems and making informed decisions that ensure the ongoing efficiency and effectiveness of operations.

Prior to commencement in this role you will need to hold a current Criminal History Check.
