About the Opportunities

Knauf Australia now has multiple opportunities for full-time Forklift Operators / Drivers to join their team at their brand new site in Erskine Park, Sydney.

Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, these positions are responsible for coordinating the efficient and effective loading of local trucks, customer pickups, and deliveries. 

More specifically, your day-to-day duties will include (but will not be limited to):

  • Picking and packing customer orders and ensuring all paperwork is completed correctly;
  • Liaising with customers and/or Truck Drivers on weights and any special loading requirements;
  • Ensuring all products loaded are correctly packed limiting any damage in transit;
  • Delivering and unloading customer orders by hand (heavy lifting may be required); and
  • Assisting in stocktakes as required.

You will be responsible for ensuring all activities are undertaken in a safe and professional manner and will maintain Knauf's commitment to providing its customers with a high standard of customer service and quality products.

About You

Ideally, you will have previous experience in a similar position, with a strong understanding and working knowledge of warehouse operations, including transportation and freight.

A C Class Licence and Forklift Licence (LF) are essential requirements of this role. Applicants who hold a current MR licence will have a distinct advantage.

Knauf is looking for candidates who are able to work within a small team environment as well as operating autonomously.

While not essential, candidates with a Certificate II in Transport and Warehousing, SAP experience and/or experience with building materials will be held in high regard.

Importantly, you will be a hard-working and motivated team player with a positive attitude and a willingness to promote health and safety practices among coworkers.
