About the Opportunity

Dennis Family Homes now has a fantastic opportunity for a Draftsperson to join their Production Department based at Notting Hill in Melbourne's south-eastern suburbs.

Reporting to the Team Leader - Metro Drafting, and working within a team of approximately thirteen people, this is a busy role that will see you producing accurate and precise working drawings for Dennis Family Homes products from contract through to final plans.

Day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Interpreting covenants on title, building envelopes, MCP's, Developer guidelines and property information and applying to plans as required;
  • Ensuring agreed KPIs are achieved in line with manual forecast dates for contract plans, variations and final plans;
  • Ordering energy ratings and certificates;
  • Ordering and checking structural engineering; and
  • Maintaining the integrity of internal workflow systems by entering/uploading all drafting tasks and/or information in an accurate and timely manner.

About You

To be considered for this position you will hold an Associate Diploma in Architectural Drafting or equivalent, and have a production drafting background with demonstrated experience in a high-volume residential housing organisation. Specific experience gained within the VIC housing market will be very highly regarded.

In addition, you will need to have experience using ArchiCad, the demonstrated ability to plan and organise your workflow, and strong attention to detail. Specific experience working within the Victorian building industry is a requirement for this role.
