About your new role...

Student Horizons is seeking a Tour Coordinator to join their team in their Brisbane Head Office on a full-time basis.
While you may be expected to coordinate a variety of tour types within the business, we are seeking a candidate who has an interest in the sports sector. You will mainly coordinate Rugby, Basketball, Cricket, Hockey, Football and Netball tours all over the world.
You will work within the busy operations department coordinating all the logistics and bookings for school group tours - everything from booking flights and accommodation, to ground transport, meals and activities. You will also act as the key point of contact for your client (i.e. School Teachers), communicating all critical dates and timeframes, from the time they have signed up for a tour, to the time they return.
About You
This role will have a heavy focus on sports tour coordination, so a well-rounded knowledge of team sports is very important.
You will have a real passion for the benefits of travel, a good general knowledge of the world, and a dedication to ensuring that students have unforgettable experiences. Although not essential, experience within the travel industry, group tours or educational travel, will be highly regarded.
This is a highly operational and logistically focused role, requiring you to juggle multiple deadlines, tours and stakeholders and as such you must be extremely organised and have high attention to detail to ensure nothing falls through the cracks.
You will be adept at working within a budget, negotiating with suppliers to ensure the best and safest service offering at the most competitive price, and you will have a customer-service focus, ensuring you are in constant communication with your clients to keep them up-to-date with booking confirmations and tour details.
Importantly, you will demonstrate a strong commitment to the safety of all students and teachers on the tours and ensure that this stays front of mind when organising all travel arrangements.
About the Benefits

Student Horizons is offering the successful candidate a base salary of $45,000 - $49,000 (negotiable depending on skills and experience) plus super. You will undergo a two-week induction on commencement and full training on internal processes and systems.
You will have the opportunity to attend tours located all over the world and if that isn't enough, you will also have the opportunity to join the team on their legendary Christmas parties - previous years have seen the Christmas Parties in New Zealand, Byron Bay and Fiji!
