About the Opportunity

AUS-MEAT Limited has a newly created role for a motivated IT Help Desk Consultant (Level 1) to join their team in Murarrie, East Brisbane on a full-time basis.

Reporting to the IT Infrastructure Manager, your focus in this position will be to ensure the smooth day-to-day IT operations across the business by providing superior customer support.

You will be the first line of support in answering queries (via phone, email, ticketing system or in person) on basic technical issues and will offer efficient and sound advice to solve them.

More specifically, your day-to-day responsibilities may include (but will not be limited to):

  • Installing and configuring software and hardware such as printers or software applications as required;
  • Monitoring system and network performances;
  • Seeking opportunities to work collaboratively with staff on continuous system improvements; and
  • Troubleshooting, diagnosing and resolving all service desk queries and tickets.

About You

The successful candidate will have a Certificate or Diploma in Computer science or other IT related discipline. Prior experience in a helpdesk or similar role would be highly regarded.

Your significant knowledge and understanding of IT systems and networks in addition to your comprehensive problem-solving abilities will be pivotal to your success in this role.

You will be a pro-active individual with world-class communication skills and the ability to effectively deduce, interpret and resolve queries and issues as they are presented.
