About the Opportunity

Social Futures currently has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Program Manager (Local Area Coordination) to join their team in Tweed Heads. While Tweed Heads is the preferred location for this role, there are options to work from Lismore, Orange, Dubbo, or Bathurst.

Reporting to the Executive Manager - Disability & Inclusion, your key responsibility will be to support the senior managers and their teams in the provision of high-quality LAC services that are compliant with the contractual requirements of the funder, the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA). With at least two direct reports and two or more indirect reports, you will also offer your support to staff in order to continuously improve service delivery

More specifically your day to day responsibilities will include:

  • Embedding a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the LAC program, the NDIS frameworks and guidelines, and the NDIA legislative requirements into all of Social Future's operations, while also serving as the subject matter expert and a key resource for the LAC program. 
  • Building, fostering, and maintaining effective relationships with key NDIS and NDIA representatives, and the NDIA peak body, in order to monitor emerging changes to NDIS legislation and regulation.
  • Ensuring LAC program requirements are continuously reviewed and updated across the organisation to meet compliance and best practice requirements. 
  • Managing stakeholder feedback and complaints by immediately addressing and actioning issues in order to ensure a positive experience.
  • Providing effective leadership to LAC Workplace Trainers by working with them to develop yearly, quarterly, and monthly training plans that respond to organisational needs.
  • Supporting Quality LACs in order to ensure LAC work activities are monitored and audited effectively and issues raised from audits are addressed via training and other mechanisms.

About You

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in a leadership role within a similar industry. A degree in health, human services, management, or social sciences will be highly regarded, but is not essential.

Your comprehensive knowledge of the LAC program, NDIS frameworks and guidelines, and NDIA legislative requirements will serve you well in this role, as will your ability to work diligently and quickly under pressure in this fast-paced environment.

Your excellent written and verbal communication skills will enable you to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders.
