About the Opportunity
With some exciting business growth in the works, BusinessMinds now has multiple opportunities for Business-Focused Insights Analysts to join their team on a full-time basis.
Working within a team of other Data Analysts, and well supported by a team leader, this role will see you providing strategic consulting and customer data analysis services to key BusinessMinds clients.
Located at the client site in Sydney CBD, you will develop close relationships with the marketing and business services teams to understand their marketing and business objectives and then analyse data and report on your data findings in a clear and articulate manner, that provides insights and suggests strategic improvements to existing processes.
Some of your day-to-day responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):
- Collaborating with the marketing and business teams to understand/brainstorm what they are looking to achieve and then making data-driven recommendations;
- Using data to find customers and narrow them down into targeted, relevant groupings;
- Configuring how customers will be contacted and analysing customer data;
- Communicating results back to non-technical people in a way that is story-driven, clear and easy to remember; and
- Interpreting data in a way that identifies potential opportunities/questions for your client/s to consider.
About You
To be considered for one of these positions you will have considerable, demonstrated experience in a similar role involving data analysis, with a strong understanding and skillset in SQL. Any qualifications/experience in Tableau, Teradata, SAS, marketing campaign management software, or marketing analysis experience will be highly regarded.
In addition, a background in the banking or financial sectors is a plus, but not mandatory, providing you have the ability to analyse data and make recommendations in a financial context.
Strong communication skills, including stakeholder management skills, will be critical to your success in this role. Obviously you need to be technically savvy - you will be an analytical problem solver and have a thorough understanding of SQL.
However - more important will be your enjoyment in working closely with non-technical business areas and your passion for creating ideas and new business applications to solve business problems.
