About the Opportunity

Due to ongoing national growth and the establishment of a permanent sales arm in NSW, Mediquip now has an exciting opportunity for a full-time NSW Territory Representative (Veterinary Equipment) to join their team on a full-time basis. Whilst you will be expected to spend some of your time (say, 1 day per week) in the Sydney office, this is a true territory role that will see you spending most of your time on the road visiting new and existing clients across NSW - everywhere from Newcastle and Port Macquarie in the north, down to Wagga and Canberra in the south.

Reporting to the National Sales Manager and well supported by the marketing team, the key component of this role is relationship building. You will make your presence known as the on-the-ground ‘go-to person’ for whatever your clients’ needs are, whether it be the coordination of servicing support, the provision of new product information or simply answering questions about Mediquip’s range of veterinary products and services.

You will do this by developing relationships and networks with relevant industry stakeholders, ultimately leading to new business opportunities and the growth of existing accounts in the Veterinary Division. 

More specifically, your duties will include (but may not be limited to):

  • Managing leads, quotations and customers sales enquiries;
  • Carrying out consultative sales and promotion of the Mediquip product range;
  • Maintaining detailed knowledge of Mediquip’s current and emerging product range;
  • Achieving assigned sales targets;
  • Providing after-sales customer service to ensure continued customer satisfaction;
  • Working with the Marketing Team to drive sales, including coordinating promotional and marketing campaigns for your territory;
  • Attending and coordinating conference displays; and
  • Executing sales administration duties, including territory sales planning, preparation of monthly reports, and preparation of tender documentation as required.

Please note: You will need to have your own vehicle and current Driver's License to be considered for this position. Mediquip will cover all travel related costs including tolls and fuel.

About You

There are a couple of different types of people who could really thrive in this role:

  1. Someone with an extensive background in the veterinary industry who is already familiar with veterinary equipment. Maybe you are a Practice Manager, a Veterinary Nurse, or even already working in a similar sales role selling veterinary products. Great!! OR
  2. Someone with a strong background in account management and relationship building in a technical environment. You may not have any experience in the veterinary industry, but you have a proven sales track record, a technical aptitude and the ability to quickly acquire knowledge of Mediquip's product range.

Regardless of your background, Mediquip is looking for someone who is energetic and can demonstrate maturity in a role that requires you to self-motivate and achieve targets within an autonomous sales environment.

Well-developed negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills will also aid you in successfully liaising with key decision makers, in order to close deals with a high conversion rate.

Importantly, you will have a genuine interest in keeping abreast of the latest industry developments and trends and will maintain a focus on customer service and account management in order to keep your large portfolio of existing clients happy.

In return for your hard work and dedication, you will receive a competitive remuneration package (in line with experience). This will be made up of a base salary plus super and commissions.

On top of this, you will receive a vehicle allowance of $15,000 per annum, plus fuel card, toll cover, mobile phone, and laptop. Importantly, you'll have great earning potential from day one, as you'll be given a large existing client base.
