About the Opportunity

Hyden Engineering has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Accounts Clerk to join the Rutherford Head Office team. Reporting to the Financial Controller, this position is responsible for a variety of accounting tasks. Some of your key responsibilities will include: 

  • Data entry into both MYOB and IMS (Hyden's custom in-house database)
  • Preparing accounts for payment and receipt
  • Balancing accounts receivables and payables
  • Preparing adjusting transactions and reconciliations
  • Balancing of petty cash, preparing outgoing invoices and recording of payments
  • Assisting with the management of payroll and financial reports
  • Managing travel arrangements
  • Assisting in the management of HR & WHS including employment and induction requirements

As you can see this is a varied role with lots of scope to further develop your skills and experience. The successful candidate will hold a relevant qualification (e.g. Certificate IV in Bookkeeping, or equivalent) and will be a whiz when it comes to accurate data entry and using MYOB and Microsoft Office.

You will do well in this role if you are a highly organised individual with strong problem-solving skills. You will also require strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate with both internal and external stakeholders. 

Comfortable with change, you can work independently and also as part of a team when the occasion calls for it.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in a small business.

In return for your hard work and dedication, you will be rewarded with a highly competitive remuneration package circa $60,000 - $65,000 plus super (commensurate with skills and experience).
