About the Opportunities

Due to an ongoing growth phase, St Carthage's Community Care is seeking Community Care Workers to join their teams in the following areas: Ocean Shores, Mullumbimby, Ballina, Yamba, Maclean, Iluka, Grafton and Lismore and surrounds. These roles are being offered on a permanent, part-time basis.

As a Community Care Worker, your primary responsibility will be to offer specialised support to people in aged care, including providing clients with flexible opportunities to enhance their independence and facilitating community participation

About You

St Carthage's is seeking self-motivated candidates with a formal qualification Certificate III in Individual Support (Aging), coupled with a passion for empowering others to achieve their goals. Demonstrated experience in providing hands on disability or aged care services assistance is required.

Well-developed interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills will be critical, as will the ability to work both individually and as part of a collaborative team.

Your understanding of Work Health and Safety, manual handling requirements and food handling procedures is important. You will have the ability to work autonomously and effectively with clients and the families of clients with complex needs. 

As you will be travelling between clients' homes and places in the broader community, it is essential that you have a current Driver's License and reliable motor vehicle that is comprehensively insured. A current First Aid Certificate is also required.
