About the Opportunity
Knauf Australia currently has an exciting opportunity for a Production Operator to join their team in Matraville, NSW on a full-time basis working across rotating 12 hour shifts.
As a Production Operator, your primary responsibility will be to successfully operate manufacturing equipment in order to produce a quality plasterboard product.
As a Knauf team member some of your daily responsibilities will include:
- Operating, monitoring and adjusting the production in your designated area.
- Observing and making adjustments to production equipment in order to produce a quality product.
- Routine quality control, inspection and testing.
- Basic maintenance.
- Troubleshooting and solving quality issues.
- Forklift use.
You will undergo robust training and have extensive support in achieving the above.
Who is Knauf Looking For?
To be successful in this position you will have the following:
- Previous relevant experience - experience in a continuous manufacturing environment is preferred, however candidates with batch manufacturing experience will also be considered.
- High-level communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work and make sound decisions under pressure.
- Ability and willingness to adhere to standard operating conditions.
- A current forklift licence, or willingness to obtain.
A trade qualification is not mandatory for you to succeed in this role but strong mechanical/engineering aptitude is.
Please note: Due to the physical nature of these roles, the successful candidates will be required to do a certain amount of manual handling and repetitive movements including continually walking up and down stairs, shovelling, chiseling and operating precision hand tools.
