About the Opportunity
Westoba Credit Union currently has an exciting opportunity for a Regional Branch Manager to join our team, rotating between our Swan Lake, La Riviere and Pilot Mound branches.
Reporting to the Director of Operation Sales, the Regional Branch Manager leads and executes strategies in support of our sales and service objectives. As a coach and a leader the Regional Branch Manager fosters a positive team environment that encourages empowerment and career succession.
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Developing performance standards to build a team of qualified, professional, and capable employees through training, coaching, and mentoring.
- Leading team meetings, planning and training initiatives; sharing information and ideas with the team that contribute to the success of the organization.
- Acting as the branch/region People Manager, dealing with employee management requirements in conjunction with the Human Resources team.
- Growing the membership base through enhanced sales and service delivery models which include online and virtual services.
- Proactively monitoring branch results against targets to ensure organizational efficiencies and increased revenues are achieved.
- Ensuring appropriate internal controls at the branch level; monitor all deposit and lending activities ensuring compliance with legislation, regulations, and Westoba’s policies.
- Preparing and implementing comprehensive business plans to facilitate financial target achievement by planning cost-effective operations and market development activities.
- Acting as an ambassador for Westoba by being visible in the community and supporting community initiatives that will enhance the image of the organization in the trading area.
- Supporting the organization’s Member Service Philosophy to provide a positive Westoba Member Experience.
- Supporting the Branch Manager in achieving department goals & objectives.
- Accountable for promoting Westoba values and great teamwork.
- Supporting the growth of a continuous improvement culture leveraging the principles of Lean and Six Sigma.
In order to qualify for this role, you will need a post-secondary degree in Business Administration/Commerce, with a focus in Financial Services (preferred) and at least 5 years of financial industry experience with a focus on leadership.
The ideal candidate will also have:
- Effective communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated relationship building skills.
- A strong understanding of business development.
- Excellent leadership skills.
- A solid understanding of investments, lending, and advisory solutions and cultivates a proactive member service culture.
