We're keen to meet you face to face and have a coffee or a glass of wine with you in a relaxed, but professional, setting.

You can expect to meet some of our leadership team, hear our thoughts on the future of work, and learn more about this career opportunity. You’ll leave with a little gift including a print out of your McQuaig behavioural profile.

The Opportunity

Recruitment matters. Our clients can't grow and outperform their competitors if they don't have the right people (and the best people) working for them.

Some recruitment advertisements simply jump out from the screen. They work for both the prospective applicants and the employer because they're honest and they hit the mark in terms of who should apply for the job. These ads get people who are the right fit for the role, excited. This job is about writing, scheduling, posting and coordinating those kinds of advertisements.

Although copywriting is a component of the role, an equally important part is ensuring our clients' career opportunities are seen by the widest range of relevant candidates as possible. The way to succeed here is through executing a strategic, comprehensive advertising campaign.

You'll offer our clients expert advice on recruitment marketing best practice, review analytics and draw insights to guide your advertising strategies, and use proactive techniques to tap into passive candidate pools including EDMs, digital candidate searches and social media campaigns.

Who will LOVE this career?

  1. Someone who has experience in a supervisory or leadership role, or who has a natural ability to lead and is looking for a step up in their next position.
  2. Someone who is organised and likes to follow systems and processes. You find this kind of discipline empowering and satisfying, not restrictive.
  3. Someone with impeccable attention to detail. To put it plainly, mistakes just can't be made when it comes to sending copy to clients or posting ads. It's entirely possible to do this work without making mistakes in these areas, if a high level of attention to detail comes naturally to you.
  4. Someone who has some writing ability. You don't need formal writing qualifications, but you need a bit of a way with words, as well as excellent spelling and grammar. If you read a lot as a kid and teenager, and/or if you've always got a book on the go as an adult, that's a good sign.
  5. Someone who is highly professional. This includes being well presented (corporate attire) at all times, and professionalism in how you interact with clients, colleagues and job seekers.
  6. Someone with ENERGY and ENTHUSIASM! These attributes are dear to the heart of Scout Talent Group (in fact, Enthusiasm is one of our core group values). We want people with a zest for life, and passion for what they're doing.

Fast-Track Your Leadership Career

This is an exciting opportunity offering you the chance to fast-track your career into management.

You'll join our business as a Future Team Leader, taking part in a 3-6 month management development program where you'll learn the ins and outs of managing a team within our business. This includes intensive recruitment advertising and marketing training, in addition to the below leadership training:

  • Managing a P&L
  • Forecasting and budgeting
  • Recruiting and growing your team
  • Leading, coaching, and developing your team members
  • Executing strategic and business planning sessions

You'll learn all there is to know about recruitment, one of the biggest challenges faced by organisations around the world today.

Important to note, once you become Team Leader you will continue to execute hands-on recruitment advertising campaigns in addition to your leadership responsibilities.

It is going to take initiative and enthusiasm to see success in this role. If you aren't determined, emotionally intelligent, and willing to go above and beyond your typical 9 to 5, you will not succeed.

Why is this opportunity available?

At Scout Talent Group, we ensure all of our people have a brightness of future and a defined career path ahead of them. Our current Recruitment Advertising Team Leader has been with us for a number of years now and is looking to take on a new challenge within a different part of our business.

Right now, our Recruitment Advertising team is pretty small. Quite simply, we want to grow the team (both in revenue and people!) and we need the right leader to achieve this.

We want to continue to build a busy, bustling office full of switched on, energetic, and enthusiastic people who are invested in what we do, and keen to be part of our bright future.

The Benefits

This is a unique chance to take on a key role within our business, with a clear pathway to achieving your management career aspirations laid out in front of you.

On offer is an attractive remuneration package made up of a base salary, super, and performance-based incentives (on-target earnings in your first year $70,000 - $80,000). Our office is centrally located in Milton, with Brisbane river views and a short walk to transport, cafes and shops.

We value innovation, enthusiasm, ownership, transparency and wellbeing.

Our company culture is really important to us and we celebrate success with regular shout-outs on our internal social network, ringing bells when a new sale comes in, quarterly awards nights/parties, and an annual overseas weekend rewards for our High Achievers (later this month we're headed to Las Vegas!). As much as we recognise and reward our people, we also place importance on focus and self-discipline. It's a good balance.

You will also take part in our quarterly leadership conferences with access to fantastic guest speakers, and will enjoy the opportunity to undertake both internal courses (we have a MiniMBA among other courses) as well as external/paid training and conferences.

We've achieved over 15 years of profitable growth, and have increased revenue year-on-year. We’re a stable, proven organisation rather than a risky start-up. As mentioned earlier, we have a three-year plan to IPO. It’s a good time to join.
