About the Opportunity
Valmont Irrigation Australia now has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Territory Sales Manager to join their team in Darra, Brisbane. The territory covered by this role is QLD, NSW and WA.
Reporting to the Regional VP, this position is primarily responsible for developing and executing effective sales strategies across new and existing client accounts.
More specifically, some of your key duties will include:
- Establishing successful, ongoing, reliable, quality and effective relationships with both current and new customers/dealers;
- Managing the development of the dealer footprint and market share in the designated sales territory;
- Creating value for Dealers through gap analysis, benchmarking and Dealer Development;
- Preparing sales quotations for dealers; and
- Developing structured call plans and utilising Salesforce.
Please Note: This role involves frequent travel (30% of the month) to visit dealers and farmers across QLD, NSW and WA.
Valmont Irrigation Australia is looking for a driven professional with a background in agronomy / agriculture and an understanding of the needs of rural communities and farmers. This, alongside value-selling skills, will ensure your ability to establish credibility with, and articulate the value of the organisation's offering to, the customer base.
As you will be managing a large territory autonomously and working toward sales targets, it's important you be the type of person who is persistent, self-motivated, and enjoys a challenge. You'll also have excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to call planning, account management and business development.
Importantly, Valmont Irrigation Australia is seeking a team player who is invested in the business and looking for a long-term career. Someone who is genuinely passionate about contributing to achieving team objectives and who displays empathy for others will be a great team fit.
Although not essential, relevant qualifications such as a Bachelor of Agricultural Science will be highly regarded.

In return for your hard work and dedication, you will receive an attractive base salary circa $75,000 - $80,000 PLUS super, $15,000 in bonuses, vehicle, and all tools of the trade (total package value circa $120,000)!
