Your New Career
Canteen Creek School has multiple opportunities for full-time Primary School Teachers to join their team in Canteen Creek, NT. Being offered is one 12-month long contract and one 6-month long contract, both with the possibility of extension.
You will be responsible for the planning and implementation of teaching strategies that are consistent with a values-driven growth mindset. You will be in charge of planning, preparing and explicitly delivering quality and effective teaching and learning programs which are consistent with the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers and relevant curriculum policies, work programs and educational trends.

About You
The successful candidates will hold relevant tertiary qualifications in Teaching, and hold or be eligible for registration with the Northern Territory Teacher Registration Board. Recent graduates who have the passion to learn and create change are encouraged to apply. Additionally, families are strongly encouraged to apply as there are employment opportunities available for a partner at the school– Assistant teaching, general school maintenance or cleaning.
These positions will be well suited to flexible and personable teachers/individuals who can adapt to changing circumstances.
You will have knowledge of and the ability to implement effective and inclusive teaching and learning processes to establish a challenging learning environment in which students are encouraged to work towards attainment of their potential. Well-developed interpersonal skills in relation to collaborating with colleagues, young people and parents in a cross-cultural environment will also be required.

Please Note: The community is only accessible by 4WD and as such, a current Driver's License will be essential and having your own 4WD vehicle would be advantageous.

You will have access to an Assistant teacher and a Prowise board for each class, as well as the students having their own Ipads to facilitate further learning.
A further range of ongoing benefits will include:

Currently there are three families living and working at Canteen Creek School who support each other and mix socially.
