  • New residential installations and renovations of all types, including group/social homes and high end residential projects;
  • Maintenance of various commercial site across Sydney;
  • New community centres and sports fields for local councils;
  • New installations and maintenance for Defence/Navy sites across Sydney; and
  • Installation, repairs, and maintenance of dry fire systems, exit lighting and emergency lighting.

About the Opportunity

Due to ongoing growth, ACE Electrical is now seeking an experienced Electrician to join their team in Sydney. This is a full-time Monday to Friday position working from 7am - 3:30pm, with the option to take on Saturday shifts and significant overtime hours if desired (overtime rates apply).

Reporting to the Owner and Operations Manager, this position will see you carrying out electrical work for a variety of commercial, industrial and domestic projects in Sydney and surrounding areas. You will be based on-site, generally working on one project at a time.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Carrying out new installation work and renovations, including installing and upgrading switchboards;
  • Performing general maintenance and identifying faults;
  • Reading, understanding, and carrying out works according to Electrical and Architectural plans;
  • Ensuring all work is completed according to Australian Electrical Safety Standards;
  • Liaising with and providing professional customer service to a range of stakeholders, including site supervisors and customers; and
  • Providing supervision and mentoring to apprentices as required. 

About You

To be considered for this position you will have a current and valid Electrical License, and have a strong understanding of and experience working within Australian codes and standards, especially AS3000.

Ace Electrical is looking for someone who is self-motivated and capable of working both autonomously and as part of a team. You will need to be able to manage your time effectively, and have the skills and experience necessary to complete work to a high degree of quality.

You will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ensuring your ability to liaise confidently and professionally with all key stakeholders.

Whilst not essential, any project management or fire technician experience will be highly regarded.

Please note: You will require a current, valid NSW Driver's License and a White Card.
